Imagining your game

1. Reflect on Your Game Idea
Copy and answer ALL of these questions about your Game Idea in a blog post:
  • WHO are you designing your game for? (Include the player's age, abilities, and prior knowledge of your topic.) 8th grade history
  • WHAT will your game teach the player about your topic? (Be specific!) The Titanic 1912
  • WHERE does your game happen?
    • Describe the world you will design for your game. Atlantic Ocean
    • How will this setting add to the learning experience? It would make it feel more realistic and also more fun for the player.
  • HOW does your game world teach the player about your topic?
    • What happens in the world that helps the player learn? It tells you facts about the Titanic and helps you better understand
    • How does the player use what they learned to make something happen in the game? It helps them advance through rounds because you have to know certain things in able to jump around and do stuff.

  • WHY is a game a better way of understanding your topic than a quiz? In a quiz game it is harder to learn because it is boring but, If it is not a quiz game then you will have fun and not have to be bored
