LAST BLOG!!:D

OMG, I am extremely happy that today is our last blog.When I look back at all the fridays that I blogged I think that a small part of me will miss it. But not much. Blogging was annoying to me. everyfriday having to tell you what I did in EXTREME detail. I am so happy that we only have 3 days left of school. This year hasn't been the best but, it hasn't been my worst. I am not doing globaloria next year. This year was very hard but it is over so I  am happy. Goobye.

WESTEST

Today I have to blog about the WESTEST. My school will be starting them on Monday. I don't expect much out of my grades. It still surprises how I got into Globaloria. Anyway, my best subject will probably be science. I hate all of my other subjects so it is hard to tell what I will get. I like science better than all my other subjects because it is easier. I will be bringing my pillow pet and snuggie to sleep in right after I get finished. Last year I finished and then I fell asleep and woke screaming in the room. Everyone was starring at me and laughing. It was really funny. Iwasn't embarrassed because I really didn't care what they had tto say about it so I laughed.Bye.

Why my game isn't a quiz game

Today I gotta blog about what my game needs. I can't think of anything that my game needs. I will talk to you about how awesme the last day will be. I can't wait to get out of here. I don't know what else to say.

Today is a Free Day!!!! :D

Today we have a free blog day. That means that we can blog about anything we want. Best of all NO GLOBALORIA talk!!! I can finally talk like a normal kid and not some super genius ( which I am definitly not). I am going to talk about the things that will be happening at the end of the year. Today 4/20/12 and it is almost my birthday. My birthday is just a couple days and this weekend we will have the birthday dinner this Saturday.  Then after that is Prom. Prom is in May and I am very excited about it this year because I did go last year. This year will be my last prom until 10th grade year.  After prom is WEST TEST and I really don't want to do that. WEST TEST is gonna hard but I guess it will be okay because we have parties everyday after we are done. After the WEST TEST is our 8th grade trip. This will be our last trip after they cancelled our 12th grade one. This year going to be fun because I am going with my mom and aunt. I really excited for the trip because I have rode a roller coaster and this will be my first. I am a little nervous to ride one but I think that will be fun. My best friend really loves roller coasters and she said that since I have never been on one she would make me ride a really good one. To my best friend a really good one is a fast one so, I am kinda nervous. I am still excited no matter what. Next the last thing of the year is Graduation. We have 8th grade graduation and I am not that excited because I don't think that I will get anything when go but, my mom is making me go(thanks mom : / .)  Finally the best thing of al. The LAST Day!!! I hate my school and I can't wait. I want to get out of here and enjoy summer break. Everyone else I talk to is excited too. I am not going to miss the people here because most of them annoy me. But the ones that I do like I know that I will see them next year in high school. The end of the year the most amazing time of the year for all of these different reasons. Happy end of the year!!!! Bye!

If game presentation was today

If game presentation was today we would probably not do good. Lately in our globaloria room things haven't been very orderly. Everyone has been cramming to get their games done. They have been running around like a bunch of chickens that had their heads cut off. We have all been putting a lot of effort into our games. If we had presentations today we would all fail. We are working but were not very organized with their games. Most of the 8th grade teams are done, but our 7th grade are teams aren,t even close to half way done. It is not their falt though because it is only their first year in globaloria. I really don't look forward to presentations, because their aweful. We sit in our libray for 10 class periods and then at almost 3 o'clock we get one slice of pizza (If we are lucky : ( . I kinda short and people tend try to run me over for the pizza. Last year I hated presentation because my partner was supposed to talk for us but when got up there she freaked out and froze so I had to talk through the whole thing. I am kinda of nervous for presentaions . There coming up really soon and I  don't feel so good about it.

:D Spring Break :D

OMG! I am so excited to get to go on spring break. Spring Break this year is gonna be different that all the other years because I am gonna do nothing but tan. I really need to tan nbecause I am really pale right now from the winter. So, I decided that I would devote my entire break to tanning. I love to get outside and just lay in the sun. I am not going to lay in a tanning bed because I don't have one. I prefer to lay in the sun because it just feels better than a taning bed to me. I am trying get a natural tan for prom this year because I am not allowed to get a spray tan. My dad doesn't like it :( . I am really excited for this years spring break . Tanning isn't the only thing that I will do this year. I will probaly go out and do other things. Tanning is just my number one thing to do. Well, I got to go but I hope you have a great Spring Break too. Bye.

Do you think you will do good with your presentations

I am talking about what our presenations will be like this year. This year our game will be great.Last year my game was good but the "help" desk told us that we had to start over. We had to start over completely with our game and we had to start over in less than two weeks before the presentations and it wa an epic fail. This year our game is better than last year's because we blocked the help desk and we did not do the same thing last year. I am really happy with this year's game. I think that this year's will be great.

Globaloria

I am talking about my partners again. I like being with my partners because we work well together. We have to incorporate things in flash. It is hard to do but it is fun. One thing that we have incorporated in flash is coal. Coal is West Virginia's main sorce of income for most families. We have also incorporated fun things like cartoons. Our game looks and is fun. I love our game. Now let's talk about something else. Let's talk about the summer. I can't wait until summer break. It willll be awesome because we will not be in school. Yay! I like and everything but it just isn't as fun as it was. Hopefully next year I will like high school nextyear. It think that it will be fun.

Partners

Hi, I am going to talk about partners today. Me and my partners work together very well. We get olong great and I don't have any problems with them. I don't just have one partner I have two! Working in a group of three can be preety hard considering that sometimes if we don't keep up with eachother our ideas can get mixed. I mean if you have an idea and your partners have two other ideas they can get kind of jumbled in our game. All in all it is really great to have two partners.

One good thing

Today I have to blog about the biggest thing that we need help with and the biggest success.

Well, my biggest struggle is with buttons. I HATE BUTTONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t stand the way that these buttons do me. They always fail when I make one. I have to have the teacher and my partners help me with them. I can’t wait until this year is over. No more buttons :D! Buttons are terrible for me because I can’t get the codes right. I guess I just fail when it comes to buttons. There is no hope for me when it comes to this.

 Now, one thing that I have learned how to do is tweens. Tweens are biggest success because they are so easy. All you have do is a kind of sequence. I also love tweens because they were the first thing that I actually got on the first time. Tweens are awesome. I guess the easiest part about tweens is you get to make things move and that just entertains me. If something doesn’t entertain me then I don’t really take any interest.

Anyway I like the way that I get to do tweens but, I HATE buttons.

Three things that my game needs

Today I am gonna talk to you about 3 things that my game needs. Personally I think my game is done and is fine but my teachers told us everyone had room for inprovement. I hace to blog today about my game.

 The first thing that I need to fix in my game is to make it a little more complex. I only have 3 llevels in my game. I think that maybe it should be longer. I can add more of the levels to my game. I should make a scene were they are not only mining coal but they are also having to watch our breathing monitor.

The second thing that I have to do to fix my game is that I have to add more options to our game. Insted of letting him or her pick only the axe or only the shovel I could add more. I can add all kinds of things. We can give you the option to some of those really big mining machines. Who knows what else we can add.

Finally the last thing that we should fix our game is make it a little more fun. If we have a game thast people don't really wanna play and are only playing it because their teacher told them to, that would mean that we fail. I want people to actuallly like our instaed of just thinking that iis just okay. I think that to make the game more fun we should to give you little bonus levels on the side. We can do a thing that if you get at last 500 points it will take you to a bonus level that will let you have the opportunity to get even more points.

In conclusion I think that our game is okay but, I did find some thins that I can improve in my game.

Working in flash

Working in flash is really hard to me. I have to do all of the codes in the game and that can be really difficult. If your codes get off even in the slightest way your whole game will be messed up. Yuor game can be very toudhy too. If it has even one lllte letter yuor whole game will be toast! It is also hard to get the game together itself. I love having this class but, sometimes it is really hard. I know that this is my last year of globaloria and I am kinda sad about it. I try not to think about it though. It just so hard to believe that it has already been two years here and next year is high school. It is kind of scary to think thatI am already going to high school. What I am trying to say is that no matter how hard this class is or how much it gets on my nerves sometimes I will still be sad without it.

The games

Today I am blogging about how we had to make games and play them. The games were unbelieveably hard to make. I had so much trouble with this game. It still doesn't work. We played the games anyway. The games were fun. I played my friend Shayna's game and it was fun. I kept on getting killed though. I only played this one. None of these games are bad they all rock!

Troubles

I have alot of trouble here in globaloria. I have alot of trouble with codes. Codes are the hardest part of globaloria. It is possible to do your game becuse of these stupid codes getting in the way. I you get so much as one letter wrong in the entire thing your game will crash. Another big problem with globaloria is trying to keep up with everything. You seem like you can never stay on top of anything. It is a very hard class to be in but I guess it is worth it sometimes.

Platform

Hey everyone :D. I'm here today to blog about what I've learned from my platform. I learned the importance of codes. Codes are important because if you miss even one letter in a code it will corupt whole game. Then next thing I learned is Key frames. Key frames are fairly easy to do you just have to make sure the steps are right. mIf they aren't you end up running into a bunch of different problems. And the last thing that I learned was the way to draw my enemies. I didn't believe it when h said that we had tohave pointy things on them. Oh well. I guess you learn something new every day. bye.

What we have done

Hello. I am here to talk about what we have done in our game. This blog has to be a full 5 paragraphs. We will start with the game skeleton. Our game intro scene is the first scene of our game skeleton. It is white with little bunches of flowers at the sides. Our team intro just has all of our names on it. The next scene is the audience. Our Audience scene is telling who is the main group of people we are trying to target. In our game play scene we are telling about the main way that you play. You get to drive into the coal while riding a coalmining cart. The next scene is the Learning Goal. Our learning goal is for other 8th graders to learn about West Virginia. Our Smart Factor is about the way that coal works in West Virginia. The style factor of the game is the way we have cute little icons. Our originality scene is just the way that you can do it yourself. The last slide has our ttile scene.

Then next thing we will talk about is the progress in our whole game. We have title scene. Our title scene is really cool. It has a mining hat with an axe and a pick under neath it. I love it. Then after that we have alot of movie scenes. The parts where you don't get to play but kind of introduces you to the game. After that you get play the games.

Now that demo is done

Now that my demo is done I am going to fill in my projects page. It wasn't easy to do but now that it s done everything is better. It was kind of scary to get up and present it but I had fun doing it. Now that done with my demo I have more time to do my page. I needs some files on my page.  I am going to fix it this weekend. Bye.
